Show Miscellaneous Events Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Blake entertained enter-tained with a masquerade party last Monday evening at their home, 644 Blaine avenue, m honor of Mrs. F. D. Stapp, who has recently returned from Oklahoma. Supper was served at 12 o'clock. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Chadwick, Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Hendershot, Mr. and Mrs. D. B. The Woman's Progressive club officers offi-cers and members of the Second ward enioved a luncheon at Franklin's Friday Fri-day at 1 o'clock, followed by a matinee party at the Orpheum. The luncheon I table was decorated in fall flowers. The party included Mrs. John S. Cor- less, Mrs. Joe Jeremy, Mrs. Frank Cor-i Cor-i less, Mrs. J. Y. McKee. Boston, Mrs. J. T: Scheffuer aud Mrs. J. B. Carpenter. Mrs. Lillia R. Tanner of 224 Second East street entertained the past presidents presi-dents of the Ladies of the G. A. R. at her home last, week, at luncheon, in honor of Mrs. Sarah A. Jenkins of Reynolds Rey-nolds Circle No. 1 for the year 1914. Mrs. Jenkins was presented with a beautiful past president 's pin. The place cards and decorations were autumn au-tumn leaves and flowers. Mrs. Charles Shields entertained the members of her bridge 'elnli Friday at her home in the Midglev apartments. Luncheon was served at 1 o clock, the card game following. Mrs. Charles Tngalls entertained her bridge club members at luncheon yes-terdav, yes-terdav, followed by several games of cards. The Bees 500 club was entertained at the home of Mrs. F. 0. Reese last Wodnesdav evening. Prizes were won hv Mrs. Lester Bult, Fred Evans, Mrs. Rvttiug and E. Barber. The Past Xoblc Grands' club will meet Thursday at the home of Mrs. Dale, 1013 West Second South street. Mrs. L. D. Lamont entertained Wednesdav afternoon in honor of Mrs. A. Bvertine of Springfield. 111. Twen-tv Twen-tv guests were in attendance. The deflorations def-lorations were in chrysanthemums. Mrs. I X. D. Castle and Mrs. Fred Green assisted assist-ed the hostess. I I Mrs. Mary Van entertained her sew-ing sew-ing dull Tuesday afternoon. The decorations dec-orations were in roses and chrysant he-j he-j mums. The next meeting meet-ing will be with Mife. J. A, Simms, No. 50 East F'irst North street. Miss Louise, Pyper entertained the B. B. (r)00" club Thursday evening at : her home, 451 Third East street. Twelve were in attendance. The pr17.es were won bv -Miss Ruby Williams and Miss .Delia Perry. The club will meet next Tuesday evening with Miss Perry, 1231 East Third South street. |
