Show JEANNE SIMON RELEASED BY FEDERAL OFFICERS Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN". Sept. 5. After on investigation into tho records at Washington. 13. C, the release of Jeanne Simon, one of the French girls arrested here recently, was ordered Saturday. When her two companions, com-panions, who are still being detained, learned of the release of the Simon woman, wo-man, they Informed Immigration Agent Longley that she had given the authorities authori-ties the wrong name, knowing that the real Jeanne Simon had been in this country coun-try for seven years. The girl was again hunted up and nuctUlo.ned closely, but she maintains that Jeanne Simon Is her name and that she has been In this country coun-try for the time mentioned. Tho girl was not rearrested, but sho will be kept under surveillance until further word Is received from Washington. The othef twd girls probably will' be deported, as no record of their entry into this country has yet been found by the Immigration authorities at Washington. |
