Show OGDEN SOCIETY Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Sept. G. The marriage of Miss Irene Armstrong of Salt Lako City and Elmer W. Brainard of Ogdcn. took place Thursday ovenlng at tho homo of tho bride's mother, Mrs. Francis Armstrong. The ceremony was performed at S o'clock by Bishop Robert Morris, and was followed fol-lowed by a largo roceptlon, over a hundred hun-dred guesta holng present. Tho home was beautifully decorated with autumn Mowers. The Misses Nora jlurdoc.k and Emma Morris attended tho bride, and Walter Tahl of Ogden was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Brainard will rcifinln In Salt Lake City until Sunday evening, when they will visit Mr. Bralnard's parents at St. Anthony, Ida., for about two weeks. They will return to this city and make their home here. Row William Thurston Brown of tho First Unitarian church of Ogdcn, nnd family, have returned from an extended visit to and through Yellowstone park. Mrs. O. H. Williams was hostess at an afternoon affair on Thursdny, In compll- ment to her niece, Miss Stella Lang of Boyne City. Mich. Tho hours wero pleas- I antly spent at a guessing contest, prizes i being won by tho Misses Grnco Harris, Lily Leaman and Charlotte Tufnole. Luncheon followed the .games, tho table decorations and appointments holng pretty in every detail. Miss Lang will remain hero for the winter and will teach In tho public schools. Rev. N. S. Eldcrkin, pastor of tho Congregational Con-gregational church of this city, Is expected expect-ed homo tonight, after his summer vacation, vaca-tion, during which he attended an international inter-national meeting of representatives of his church in Edlnburg, Scotland, and made an extended tour of Europe. Miss Vcrna Bowman has returned from Oakland, Cal., and after spending a few days here will go to Logan, whero she is a teacher at tho Agricultural college.
