This convention is to assemble -on tho evening of- September 2Slh, after tho business of tho county convention has had time to bo fiuishod. Tho importance of this State convention conven-tion will uofc bo overlooked by tho loyal people of Utah. Thoso who oppose tho. domination of tho church in politics and iu civil affairs, thoso who favor tho impartial enforcement of tho laws against law-breakers, thoso who do not beliovo that there should bo a special elass of persons who are not called upon to observo the moral decencies of civilization civ-ilization or tho laws ."ofl.tha State,, thoso who believe that it is wrong for tho church to bo in commercialism in com petition with and in a position to suppress sup-press legitimato individual enterpriso; .in short, those who .wish to put the politics and civil affairs of Utah in ac- j cord with tho liko public agoncics throughout tho United States, aro invited in-vited to take part in f this convention and mako their voices felt in American party councils. It is an important occasion in tho history of Utah, and one that is woll worthy of tho attention of patriotic citizens. We look to seo a fine turnout turn-out at this convention of representative representa-tive citizens throughout the State, who will go on record for morality, for law, for-freedom-in politics, for tho enfranchisement enfran-chisement of tho civil officialdom from hierarchic control, and for tho personal liberty of every law-abiding citizen.
