The American committee of tho Olympic games has started a subscription list to realizo funds to properly honor Mike Murphy, the famous trainer who handled tho team in the Ijondon stadium. .James E. Sujltvan, secretary of tho committee, has sent out tho following letter: "While giving the fullest credit to the athletes who represented the United I States in" tho recent Olympic game?, there is one persou whosc'services wore practically invaluable nnd without whoso interest and knowledge it; is doubtful whether tho men would havo performed so splendidly as ovonts proved. Ho is Trainer Murphy, who devoted his best energies, in the face of uumerous difficulties, to havo tho team in shape. "Mr. Murphy cheerfully gave up his time and devoted his energies for months to the euro of the athletes, and how well ho performed his duty is a matter of record. Now, let us not be so unpatriotic as to forget his good work. Instead, let those who rccognizo the man's true worth come forward and assist those who arrr anxious to make Mr. Murphy a suitable presentation.
