| Show THE YELLOW JACKET GROUP statesman boise idaho during the last three months two important ore shoots have been opened up on the yellow jacket group of claims situated near pioneerville Pione erville the property was purchased by L C royce and associates a little over three months ago since buying it they have prosecuted development work upon two ledges both of which have been opened up into splendid shoots in an adit on the lost cabin claim which has been driven a distance of feet on the ledge there is showing a continuous shoot of good ore the entire distance that varies in width from 18 inches to a little over four feet values havet been found to be uni uniform forrA throughout repeated tests by panning giving very satisfactory results in free gold on the wild west claim which lies parallel to the lost cabin a shaft has been sunkyo sunk to a depth of 35 feet disclosing a strong vein of quartz that contains apay a pay shoot two iwo feet wide this ledge has the same general strike as the one above mentioned but dips to the east whereas the former one dips in an opposite direction the character of the mineral is exactly the same in both ledges it is all perfectly free milling the yellow jacket group consist of four claims it is crossed by two distinct leads and a number of stringers the ore occurrences curren ces lie along con contacts between granite and porphyry the two main ledges mentioned have a strike from northeast to southwest they are clearly defined and bear every indication of great permanency on the wild west claim the lead has been prospected at four different points by open cuts demonstrating an ore shoot fully feet long the width varying from 20 inches to two f feet r mr air royce arrived in the city from the mine thursday evening he states the results that have been obtained from development work have been of such an encouraging nature that operation will be continued during the winter it is the intention of the management to equip the property with a plant of machinery early next season while valle not definitely determined it is thought probable a cyanide plant will be installed |
