| Show T B wilde of philadelphia Phi adelphia pa well known in western mining circles was in the city last week home from bay horse idaho mr wilde is a member of the standard metals production company of philadelphia and it was through his efforts that his company recently purchased the turtle group of mines two and a half miles southeast of bayhorse badhorse Bay horse mentioned by special correspondence in the last issue of the mining review accompanied by supe superintendent rin S F hunt mr wilde recently made an exhaustive examination and inspection spec tion of the turtle group and is much pleased with results as in the workings of the property were found two veins of good pay ore one of which consists of two feet of copper silver ore and the other cf thirty inches of silver lead ore associated with gray copper from these about eight tons were broken down from which about pounds of samples sampes were taken assays essays on these samples made of fire gave the following gratifying results no 1 no 2 no 3 no 4 no 5 no 6 this would be termed high grade ore in any camp and the presence of such ore in quantity should soon place the company on a profit making basis superintendent hunt is working all the men at the mine that there are accommodations for and a larger force will be put on in the spring jacob N jacobson of ephraim utah has obtained a bond and lease on the viking group near that place the mine is equipped with a small mill and it is the intention of mr jacobson to begin work at once in its s operation and development 0 the lost packer mine on loon creek ouster custer county idaho was in the market recently with another shi shipment p ment of first class ore |
