Troop 232 Cub Scouts held y their annual Blue and Gold y Banquet at the Cultural Hall for scouts and parents in that organization. Den mothers assisting were Karen Van Uitert, Nelda Cowley, Vickie Ward, and Ned Ktit-gard Ktit-gard and Sheldon Ellet from the Webelos. Mrs. Louise Hogan was hostess hos-tess on Friday for the monthly meeting of Camp Eutaw, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. The meeting was conducted by Berta Taylor. Captain of the organization. Following a Patriotic Spotlight which was directed by Florence Francis, the lesson les-son "Autobiographies of Nine Pioneer Men" was given by Louise Hogan. A history of Marysvale, Utah was presented present-ed by Afton Crawford. Assisting Assist-ing Mrs. Hogan as hostesses were Marjory Wmegar, Pat Blackley, Jae Boulton, and Eleanor? Darby. Mrs. Nina F. Moss has been enjoying a stay at the Doren Boyce home in Ogden the past few weeks. Wade Bowen, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowen. has recently undergone under-gone major bone surgery to his legs, and is now at home recuperating. Surgery was performed at South Davis Hospital. Sorry to see the J ohn Fredncksons and their six sons leave the area. They recently purchased a home in Bountiful. They will be missed by their many friends in the Sorrento Subdivision. Sincere sympathy is extended to Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Porter. Her brother Leonard G. Mitchell of Provo, died of complications following follow-ing surgery on March 6. Funeral services were con ducted in the Provo First Ward with burial in the Provo City Cemetery. Soccer is in the news. Teams are being organized for both boys and girls in the Woods Cross areas. Under the direction direc-tion of Vagn Anderson, training train-ing films and first registration was held on Wednesday at South Bountiful School. A soccer field is being constructed con-structed on City Park, with games to be played on Saturdays Satur-days and practices during the week. Parents are needed for coaches and transportation chaperones. Plan to participate par-ticipate with your children. Get well wishes are extended extend-ed to Bert Bailey. He has been under the weather following a bout with the flu bug, and is extended a wish for a speedy recovery from his many friends in the area. South Bountiful Second Ward Relief Society held their annual birthday party on Friday evening at the cultural hall, the program, following a Bi-Centennial theme featured musical selections by Dorothy Pratt, and the presentation of seven President's wives. Dinner was served to approximately 70 women. In charge of the "successful event was Pauline Lowe, president; LuJean Earnshaw. Kathy Turpin and Winnie Bailey, counselors and secretary, in addition to leathers for the nrt'anizjtmn. Paula Lowe and Kathy Howard spent (he weekend at Brigham Ynung University where they attended a Kelief Society Seminar. It's a girl for Brian and Melodv Larsen. Heattended Ricks for one year and has been making his home in Boise in recent months. Happy birthday to Mrs Clara Argyle. She turned 97 years young on March 7. A family dinner was given in her honor at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Ralph T. Argyle on Saturday. Relatives, friends and neighbors also visited her in honor of this occasion. South Bountiful Fifth Ward Relief Society will enjoy their annual birthday party on Friday evening for the women and husbands in the cultural hall. The theme "Star Spangled Heritage" will be carried out through special decorations, musical numbers, and skits. Also to be shown are slides of ward members taken at random throughout the year. In charge of this special event are Marilyn Bell, president; Karen Moulton. Carolyn Bullock and Anna Mossmon. The Fifth Ward has had two changes in executive positions this past week. Jered Anderson Ander-son was sustained counselor in the bishopric, replacing Mel-vin Mel-vin Mills who was released from that position. Glynnis Browning was released as counselor in the Relief Society. Sustained to that position was Carolyn Bullock. Two women from our city have been installed as officers in the West Bountiful Elementary Elemen-tary PTA organization. Mrs. Carolyn Landward was installed in-stalled as vice president and Mrs. Sharron Eggleston will serve as secretary of that group. New officers were introduced in-troduced at the Mother-Daughter Mother-Daughter evening held last Thursday. Donna Diesposti was hostess hos-tess for a shower to honor her sister Tina, prior to her March 20 wedding in Beuian, Lolo to Edward Pisciotta. Attending and bidding farewell for the present to their friend was Diane W ilkerson, Gloria Piler. Janna George, Beth l.anden. Beth Warner, Lynn Pack.
