Don't Start" the Youth f llobacco Advisory Council of jJUtah will present an audiovisual audio-visual demonstration to -parents on tobacco and J health, Thursday, March 25, f Tat South Bountiful Elemen-- Elemen-- ury School, 2385 So. 800 W., Tony Peters, Lisa Burningham and Russell Peters show the slogan that will be the theme for a meeting of the Youth Tobacco Advisory Council. It will be held in the ; South Bountiful Elementary School on March 25. Woods Cross, at 7:30 p.m. THIS PROGRAM will be similar to those being given in elementary schools throughout the state. LeRoy D. Simmons, executive execu-tive vice president of the council, will use films, demonstrations and hand-out literature to show the connection connec-tion between tobacco and various health problems such as heart disease, cancer and emphysema. MR. SIMMONS will also emphasize the peer pressure children face that leads many into using tobacco, and give pointers to parents in how to combat this kind of pressure before it effects our children. The program, sponsored by the South Davis County PTA Council, should be of tremendous tremen-dous interest to all parents in the South Davis area. |
