Show Entertain Chapter Xi Alpha Gamma chapter of Beta Sigma Phi on Saturday March 13, entertained their sister chapter Preceptor Mu with a brunch. USING THEIR Bicentennial theme of "Let Heritage Ring," their tables were decorated with a centerpiece of red, white and blue flowers. A few of the hostesses hos-tesses carried this through in their wearing apparel. The date of the 13th was chosen to honor the original 13 states of the United States. THE PRIZE of the day, a Campbell Kid doll dressed in colonial attire, was won by Grace Jorgensen of Preceptor Mu. Those attending from Preceptor Mu were Bobbie Riley, president and Erna Atkinson, Louise King, Jeanne Lyons, Bea Thomas and as mentioned, Grace Jorgensen. Jor-gensen. BETTY De Rouchey of Xi Alpha Gamma offered her home for the occasion. Her chapter sisters attending were President Audrey Carr, Ava Butters, Kay Hynes, Kathy Jones, Renee Larsen, Margaret Duncan, Katie Franke, Celia Hughes, Barbara Bar-bara McArdle, Laurel Craig, Sharon Butters, Doris Moak, and Mettie Rist. One other highlight of the brunch was the presentation of a check from Xi Alpha Gamma to Bobbie Riley for the Steven Kitey Memorial Scholarship Fund of Bountiful High School. THIS scholarship is awarded award-ed to a boy who is not strong enough to receive a scholarship entirely on his own merit but contributes so greatly to the swimming team that the team would not perform per-form as well without his efforts. ef-forts. All Beta Sigma Phi members in Davis County are looking forward to Founder's Day 45th anniversary. This honorable celebration will take place April 29 at Oakridge County Club. |
