Show -,. p-j. I S As ' I WRITING HISTORY Woods Cross residents have an opportunity to participate in the Bicentennial preparation prepara-tion of the Woods Cross City history. A workshop to teach interested persons in the over-all construction of such a project is scheduled for Friday. March 26 beginning at 7 p.m. at the South Bountiful Boun-tiful Elementary School. Saturday. Sa-turday. March 27. the workshop will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4.30 p.m. THE workshop for the pur- po:y? of writing a community histon' is to be taught by the Utah Historical Society. Mrs. Arlene Eakle. a local resident, who is a noted historian, his-torian, has been commissioned commis-sioned by Woods Cross City Council to head the project. She works with the Utah Historical His-torical Society. Mrs. Eakle is a free lance teacher, and is a teaching consultant for the Anaheim High School District in California. Residents of the area are invited to a special workshop that will help teach thein how to gather and write their history. candidate at the University of Utah in the field of history. THE workshop will teach and provide uses of instructional instruc-tional materials in preparation prepara-tion for the actual writing of a history. The workshop is free to the public, and all interested persons are urged to-be at South Bountiful School on the 26th at 7 p.m. for beginning instruction. The history which is in the process of construction, will include a pic t oral process of historical moments throughout the city's history. Persons able to type, transcribe tape recordings, or provide interesting facts and ancedotes are urged to contact Mrs. Eakle with this information. informa-tion.
