WE WILL feature local golf penings in the area, review of golf rules and even a few pointers for improving the old golf swing. If there are any special questions about golf we can answer for you the reader, please let us know. Contact us at the Bountiful Golf Course, 292-4661. BOUNTIFUL Golf Course's newly founded men's association associa-tion have set the date for their opening event. Anyone who is interested in joining the men's group this season should attend. Any male golfer over the age of 16 is welcome, and you don't have to be a good golfer to join. THE OPENING social will be held April 9 at the Bountiful Boun-tiful Elks Lodge, 310 N. Highway 91, North Salt Lake. Free refreshments will be served from 6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. The agenda includes discussion dis-cussion on the season's events, rules, handicaps, fees and a golf film will be shown. The evening promises to be very enjoyable and I would encourage all men to attend. SPECIAL thanks should be given to the Bountiful Elks for the use of their building. They are a fine civic organization, and should be recognized as such. If this fine weather continues con-tinues there is a chance that Bountiful City Course could open this weekend. Call Saturday Sa-turday for a time if they do open. BOUNTIFUL Springs is open now. Spring may be here. Next week's article will feature rule changes, a discussion dis-cussion on handicaps and other golf items. |
