"THIS region contains some of the best bands in the state, is the strongest band region in the state, and has the toughest judges in the state," commented Wayne James, Davis County School district music coordinator," which makes the feat all the more remarkable." Sky View of Smithfield, Utah was the only other band to achieve straight superior ratings this year in the region which includes the four largest lar-gest high schools in Davis County. WOODS Cross and Davis High School will receive their ratings at a festival to be held later on this month at Davis High School. The Bountiful High School band and their director, Ken-dell Ken-dell Nielsen, have worked long and hard to bring their group this deserved honor. THE BAND is presenting their formal concert banquet on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. Those who are interested in attending and have not yet notified the band please do so immediately. |
