WEST POINT Arnold Thayne Bingham, 64, of 614 N. 5000 W., died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1988 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden of cancer. He was born July 21, 1924 in Clinton, a son of Wilford Albertus and Martha Estella Patterson Bingham. He married Blanche Kirkman on June 21 , 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had lived in West Point for 44 years and had farmed most of his life. He had served as president of the Davis County Farm Bureau and was a member of the ASCS County Committee for 10 years. He had also served as the chairman of the Davis County Weed Control Board. He was a member of the West Point Third LDS Ward where he had served as a counselor in the stake MIA, Elders quorum president, presi-dent, High Priest group leader, counselor in the bishopric and as a stake high counselor. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming. Surviving are his widow of West Point, one son and five daughters, Van T. Bingham, Mrs. Randy (Judy) Porter, Mrs. Robert (Marsha) (Mar-sha) Weller, and Mitzi Bingham, all of West Point; Mrs. Brent (Lana) Olsen, Roy; Tami Bingham, North Salt Lake; 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Eugene Bingham, West Point; Earl Bingham, Clear- field; Alexander Bingham, Ogden; Blanche Kendrick, Twin Falls, Ida.; Ruth Schulz, Roy; Vivienne Birch, Sandy; Donna Olsen, Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Bishop H. Marvin Drake conducted con-ducted funeral services held on Sept. 7. Family prayer was offered by Earl Bingham; prelude, Marlene Drake; invocation, Randy Porter; bishop's remarks, H. Marvin Drake; "True Love" by Ken and Karma Cook, accompanied by Ken Cook; speakers, Bishop Blaine Thurgood, Bishop Dale King and Bishop Rodney Carter; "Always" by Ken and Karma Cook; benediction, Robert Weller.
