Show UJcddings and engagements I Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cook ' Janet Karren becomes bride of Roy Cook Janet Lee Karren became the bride of Roy D. Cook Saturday, Feb. 6, 1982 at the Glines Ward Chapel with Bishop Chad Orton officiating. Janet is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Durrell Karren. Vernal, and Roy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Cook, Vernal. Ver-nal. The bride wore a long gown of cream organza over taffeta. The neckline was trimmed with white lace and seed pearls and the skirt was accented with appliqued white lace roses and pearls. The chapel length train was trimmed with lace and pearls and had a lace cap with silk petals. She carried a bouquet of silk peach and cream colored roses and buds with pearl loops, cascading gardenias and ivy, and long lace streamers. The maid of honor was Terri Kemp-ton. Kemp-ton. She wore a long peach gown with cream lace sleeves and bodice insert and carried a nosegay of silk peach and cream roses. The mother of the bride wore a long peach dress and the groom's mother wore a long brown and peach print dress. Both wore corsages of silk peach roses. The best man was Tom Miles. A reception followed the ceremony at the Glines Ward Cultural Hall. Monica Jones w as at the guest book, and Janice Massey and Sherrie Slaugh were in charge of the gifts. Gift bearers were Rusti Cook and Janeen Cook. Pat Searle and Evelyn and Paul Herbst helped in the kitchen with Katy Massey, Angaleen Cook and Renita Cook serving. serv-ing. A three-tiered cake was served that was decorated in the bride's colors of cream with brown edging and silk peach flowers between the layers accented ac-cented the arch with a bride and groom insert. A kitchen shower earlier was held by Terri Kempton and Janice Anderson. The couple plan to make their home in Vernal where Roy is employed by Dowell and Janet works at Sears. |
