Show Magna museum coming The Utah State Mining Museum (Hard Rock) and the Utah Ethnic and Mining Museum of Magna committees met to form some joint committees to help expedite a museum being started on Main Street. Warren Nuesmeyer, chairman of the State Mining Museum group, suggested that certain joint committees be formed to help both groups achieve their ends. A joint acquisition committee, a joint administrative ad-ministrative committee and a joint building committee were formed to help move things along. The group would like to see some sort of exhibit at the Main Street Museum by Copper Days, which will be held August 17 and 18. It will take a lot of work to get the old J.C. Penney's building into shape by Copper Days, but the group hopes to do this. Currently, a large number of items are being stored, just waiting for the Penney's building to be redone. Old pictures, copper mining items and ethnic history items are all being sought for the new museum. mu-seum. Magna Times |
