Show DON SPERRY REDD Redd files for Senate r Don S perry Redd has announced his candidacy for the Utah Senate District 22. He feels, "It's time for a change. The incumbent, Sen. Barlow, has been in office for 38 years. Sen. Jake Gam and Rep. Jim Hansen are actively involved in limiting terms of political representatives on the federal level. Redd feels that this principle also applies at the state level because of the problems associated with long-term long-term incumbencies. He also feels that there is too much government. Emphasizing freedom of choice, his concern is that more and more government leads to less and less liberty. Redd is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where he received receiv-ed a juris doctorate, and has established estab-lished a practice in Layton; He and his wife, Karen, and their 12 children live in Farmington. Redd has been Davis County head for Child Support Enforcement Enforce-ment and Welfare Fraud, former advisor to Weber County Attorney for Drug Enforcement, director of Davis County Narcotics Task Force, and a Farmington City Councilman. r |
