Show West Bountiful golf course ups rates By JANICE BLACKH AM WEST BOUNTIFUL - Individuals In-dividuals wishing to golf at the West Bountiful Golf Course will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets to come up with the necessary greens fee. The West Bountiful Community Council approved an increased rate structure for its golf course that goes into effect April 1. Daily greens fee will increase to $5.50 for nine holes of golf. The rental fee for pull carts is $1.50; electric carts $7; clubs $4; large driving range bucket of balls $3; and a small driving range bucket $2. The fees for the junior and senior punch passes have also increased. A ten-punch pass will now cost $45, 20-punch pass $80 and a 30-punch pass $105. For those who do not qualify for the junior or senior discounts, a ten-punch ten-punch pass will now cost $50, and a 20-punch pass $90. According to Mike Bicker, PGA golf professional at the West Bountiful Boun-tiful Golf Course, "Business is booming and the course is in tremendous condition." To take advantage of the course's condition. Bicker will be conducting conduc-ting a beginning weekly women's golf clinic starting Wednesday, April 18. Women wishing to learn the sport or to improve on their current cur-rent skill level are invited to sign up for the five-week clinic. The clinic will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the registration fee is $25. Enrollment will be limited to the first ten women who register. Bicker will also be teaching three five-week junior summer golf clinics for youths under the age of 17. The clinics will begin Thursday June 7 at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. The registration fee is $25 and enroll, ment is limited to the first ten f0r each hourly time slot. In conjunction with the junior clinic, to encourage younger people to practice their skills, a special summer greens fee rate of $2 will be offered for nine holes of golf. This discount rate applies only i0 individuals under the age of 17 each Thursday during the hours of 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning June 7. Bicker enjoys teaching women and young people because "they learn so fast.
