Show Elections begin at BHS Wednesday, April 11, the petitions peti-tions for class officers are released to the public. Other activities this coming week include an individual events foren-sics foren-sics tournament at Granite High School on the 5th, a stomp, "The Bermuda Triangle," with music, pictures, pina coladas, decorations Brave 1 Rave J By JOE Once upon a time, last Thursday, March 28, the election process for electing next year's student body officers officially began. A meeting was held in the cafeteria at 7 p.m. for all candidates and their parents, and all candidates turned in their nomination petitions. Sunday, the 30 candidates stayed up all night making their campaign posters, and then when they got done with their posters (at about 5:30 a.m. Monday), they rushed to the school to get in line for the opening of the doors at 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday intense campaigning went on throughout the school, and earlier today, the candidates displayed their wit, humor, intelligence and qualifications qualifica-tions to be a student body officer at the election assembly in which each one gave a speech that lasted no longer than three minutes. Tomorrow and Friday, the intense in-tense campaigning will continue and the primary elections will take place, in which the field of candidates can-didates will be narrowed down to an even dozen. This coming Monday and Tuesday Tues-day the final elections will take place, and the school will have six student body officers for the 90-91 school year. and other fun things, on the 6th, and parent teacher conferences the 1 1th. By the way, congrats to the BHS Mandonelles who took first at the national drill team competition, and to the BHS cheerleaders who took second at the national cheerleading competition.
