Show Accident Fatal A Bountiful woman was killed kil-led and a Centerville man was critically injured last week when the auto in which they were riding collided headon with a pickup truck in Salt Lake City. KILLED IN the two-vehicle mishap was Judith J. Childs, 41, of 873 S. 400 W., Bountiful. She was a passenger in the car driven by Michael B. Barton, 26, of 540 W. 200 S., Centerville. Centervil-le. He was listed in "critical condition" at Holy Cross Hospital. Hos-pital. Salt Lake City police, who investigated, said the car was easibound on Indiana Ave. (850 South) when it collided with a westbound truck driven by Neal W. Finlayson. 29. of West Jordan. Neither the pickup pick-up truck driver or his brother. Thomas, were seriously injured. in-jured. THE VICTIM was pinned in the auto until rescue crews arrived. ar-rived. She died a short time later at the hospital. Driver of the pickup truck was booked into Salt Lake County Jail for "investigation of automobile homicide." |
