Show Saltai-4 Ellen Bracken Church Notes Some of the Relief Society ladies met early Tuesday and finished the quilt that had been started the previous Tuesday. Class leader, Nadine' Wardle presented the literature lit-erature lesson in Relief Society. Mutual officers attending stake MIA leadership meeting Wednesday Wednes-day evening in Roosevelt, were: Grant Jarman, Leah Chandler and Viola Jensen. Stake Sunday School visitors attending at-tending Sunday School were', stake Superintendent Ariel Michie and Beverly Anderson. Leah Chandler was sustained as activity counselor in the Young Women's Mutual. The Primary presented the following fol-lowing program in Sacrament meeting Sunday: "Reverence" was the theme of the program; talks, were given by Mariner McMullen, the counselor in charge of the Primary; President Donna Pickup and her two counselors, Jennie McMullen and Lora Bastian; duet, by Shirley Pickup and Carolyn Stoddard; talks, by Alice Wall' and Hannah Harris; duet, Carolyn Stoddard Stod-dard and Beverly Anderson. Relief Society officers and teachers teach-ers attending stake Relief Society Union meeting Sunday afternoon in Roosevelt were: Lula Dudley, Nellie Harris, Ivy Chandler, Etta McMullen and Hazel Wardle. Mr. and Mrs. George Pickup and family, of Tule Lake, Calif., are visiting at the home' of Mr. Pickup's mother, Mrs. Ada Pickup. Mrs. Ethel Durfee and Mrs. Betty Bet-ty Heath attended a special meeting meet-ing Thursday evening, held at Al-terra Al-terra for the Lower grades. Willard Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here and attended at-tended Sunday's meetings. The Leo Jorgensens, Thomas Chandlers and Blake Peays, Jr., returned home Tuesday. The group had to stay over Monday night at Provo, due to road conditions. Henry Wall was operated on Monday morning at the Roosevelt Hospital and returned home Satur- Mr. and Mrs. Bill Young, of Vernal, Ver-nal, spent Friday evening visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Jarman. Mr and Mrs. Albert Daniel's, of Ft. Duchesne, were Sunday visitors at the Ward Jarman and John Young homes. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Young and family, of California, are visiting at the home of Mr. Young's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Young. Mrs. Mildred Anderson's school room presented the assembly program pro-gram Friday afternoon. Parents of Mrs. Anderson's pupils were invited in-vited to attend. |
