Show Roosevelt Ward MIA To Present 'San Juan Outpost' "San Juan Outpost," a three-act play, will be presented next Tuesday, Tues-day, Nov. 29, by the' Roosevelt LDS ward MIA at the stake house, commencing at 8:00 p.m. A matinee mati-nee performance will be presented Monday at 3:45 p.m. The historical play, which takes place in San Juan County, depicts early pioneer and Indian life. Thej production rotates around a pioneer pio-neer family and their conviction I of treating the Indians with patience pa-tience and kindness. Excitement runs high in the play when Texas cattlemen appear, trying to shoot out the Indians. Directing the play is Mrs. Omni Winterton, ward drama director. Cast of characters includes: Caroline, Caro-line, Vivian Winterton; Parley, El-don El-don Winterton; Dartmouth, LeRoy Anderson;. Aunt Em, Verlaine Swenson; Uncle Heb, John B. Gale; Elvira, Fay Truman; Higgley, Albert Neilsen; Navajo Frank, Larry Lar-ry Jensen; Jenny, Elaine Mathews; Tilly, Sandra Leavitt. The play will be free of charge and the public is cordially invited to attend. |
