Show FFA Harvest Ball Set For Friday Decorations on the theme "By the Light of the Silvery Moon," are being planned under the direction direc-tion of Duane Evans, for the Moon Lake F.F.A. Harvest Ball to be held Friday, Nov. 25. The dance will be semi-formal with an admission of $1 for couples, 750 for stags, and 500 for extra ladies. The Al-tamont Al-tamont High School' orohestra will furnish the music. The highlight of the evening will be the crowning of the F.F.A. Sweetheart which will take place during the intermission. The three finalists who' have been chosen by the chapter are Doris Allred, Cleo Clark and Gaye McDonald. Following Fol-lowing this, there will' be a program under the direction of Dale Hanberg, entertainment chairman. chair-man. Tickets at 250 each are being sold by chapter members in anticipation anti-cipation of giving away three turkeys tur-keys at the dance. Ronald Miles is chairman of the turkey feature. Refreshments are being planned by Robert Reay, and Larry Hart-man Hart-man is in charge of advertising the event. All signs point to a high night, ' so everyone come out and have fun. Next week's adult sewing class under the direction of Mrs. Eliza Neuson will be held cn iuesaay from 3:30 to 6:00 instead of the regular day Thursday, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Kenneth Bearden, Rondo Harmon and Bill Evans attended a choaches' and administrators' conference, in Roosevelt, Wednesday, Nov. 16. Mr. Evans served on an English committee. The snow and cold has caused some of the school busses to run late this week. Lee Jesen's Al-tonah Al-tonah bus and Ellis Burton's Tal-mage Tal-mage bus especially had difficulty. Max and Floid Hartman spent a day last week in Vernal' on business. bus-iness. A special morning assembly was held Friday morning at Altamont High at which Snow Allen was guest speaker. He talked about the 15 years he spent in prison and pleaded with the students to avoid doing the little things in high schools which may eventually send them to prison. |
