Show ft VJIIITEROCKS Madeena Smith New Officers For P-TA Chosen A P-TA meeting was held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Nov. 16 at the Whiterocks school. The following new officers were elected: Mrs. Verna Hoops, president; Clyde Merkley and Norwood Nor-wood Hardy, first and second vice-presidents; vice-presidents; Viola Horrocks, sec-treas. sec-treas. Mrs. Leoia Jacobs and Eugene Eu-gene West, of the county P-TA from Vernal were present. The program pro-gram consisted of three songs, composed and written by Phyllis Oberhansly, sung by Ned Gines, with Mrs. Oberhansly at the piano. Principal Norwood Hardy sang two Tittian song.s Punch and cookies were served by the outgoing outgo-ing president. Ethel Goodrich and Edith Goodrich. There were thirty people present at the meeting. The parents visited with the teachers in their rooms. Mr. and Mrs. "Frank Griffin were dinner guests at the Larry Phillips' home in Vernal on Sunday. Marinus Christensen, who has been working in Rangely this past year, is home for the winter. Elmo Hardy, of Vernal, stayed overnight with his brother, Norwood Nor-wood Hardy on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs Duane Oberhansly went to Salt Lake on Thursday, were Mr. Oberhansly received a medical check-up. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley visited vis-ited Mr.s. Nellie Merkley at the Elbert Smith home Wednesday. The Stanley Hoops family was in Vernal on business Friday. Virgil Robb has been pushing snow off the mountain road to his saw mill for the last three days. He reports sixteen inches of snow on the mountain. Leonard Twitchell has been digging dig-ging trench for Stanley Hoops this last week.- The Hoops are installing install-ing a bathroom in their home. MAKE QUILTS The Relief Society made and tied two quilts for Mrs. Gale Ras-mussen Ras-mussen at their work meeting on Wednesday. |
