Show Tops In Stake Ballard MIA was th-2 top ward in Roosevelt stake in the Era drive. They were also the first to hand in their subscriptions, winning a $10.00 prize. Mrs. Norma Johnson was head of the Era drive. A meeting of the P-TA officers was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Lundberg Saturday evening eve-ning with the following officers present: Junior Betts, Earl Winn, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jeppson, Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem and Mrs. Mary Burgess. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham came in from Salt Lake City on Sunday to spend some time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton. GIVE DEMONSTRATION Troup No. 2 of the Cub Scouts of Ballard, under the supervision of their den mother, Mrs. Wilma Haslem, presented a demonstration at the University of Scouting held at Roosevelt on Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd, of Randlett, Mr. and Mrs. Max Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson John-son attended the wedding reception recep-tion of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poul-son Poul-son at Arcadia on Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Calvert, of Salt Lake City, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler during pheasant season. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Calvert, Jr. were also guests at the Shisler home. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bracken visited vis-ited with Lynn's parents several days this week. Lynn is planning on going into the service this week. They spent last week in Tooele with Mrs. Bracken's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Rowberry. Norman Rasmussen made a trip to Salt Lake and back last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler went to Arcadia Friday evening to attend at-tend the wedding reception of Mrs. Shisler's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poulson. SUPPER IS HELD BY RELIEF SOCIETY The Relief Society sold a delicious deli-cious supper at the chapel on Thursday, Nov. 17. They held their annual bazaar also. Due to meetings meet-ings elsewhere, the crowd was not very large. Mrs. Wendel Johnson was honored hon-ored as a Golden Gleaner and Max Todd as a Master M Man at the stake banquet on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Winn and two children left Sunday morning for Rexburg, Idaho, to spend Thanksgiving with Mrs. Winn's relatives. Speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bracken and James Bacon. |
