Show Absenteeism By Young Hunters To Cost District More than a $1,000 loss of state school funds is expected by the Duchesne County Board of Education Educa-tion a.s a result of absences attributed at-tributed to the deer hunt during the first week of the open season this--year, reports Sup t. Rowan C. Stutz. He explained that during this week accumulated absences in the district schools was 611. Each absence accounted for $1.70 loss to the district, under the etate school fund participation program. Absences during the remained of the hunting season had not been tabulated at the time of the Nov. board meeting. Last year, total accumulated absences ab-sences were 778 during the total deer season. These totals include Duchesne County students enrolled at Union High School. |
