Show 11 Men Gleaners Have IVell- Atf ended Banquet Approximately one hundred and twenty people attended the Roosevelt Roose-velt stake M Men and. Gleaner banquet held last Saturday night at the stake house. A delicious full-course full-course dinner was served, followed by a program, emcee for which was Dr. Dan Dennis, stake M Men leader. Beehive girls from the 2nd and 4th wards assisted with the serving. The following Golden Gleaners and Master M Men were especially especial-ly honored: Glenna and Joe Moody, Lois and Karl Betts, Hollis Hul-inger, Hul-inger, FFlora Mitchell, Lyle Hintze, Betty Gilbert, Dot Ottosen, Max Todd, Norma Johnson, Helen Larson, Lar-son, Charlie Bird, Verda Mae Mor-tensen, Mor-tensen, Jerry Shields, Mary An-drus, An-drus, Marilyn Sorenson, Jean Snow, Arvin Bellon, Edith Olpin, Russel Todd, Barbara Scholes, Faye Neilsen and Lois Leavitt. A special skit was presented, with Mrs. Burr Eldredge as the narrator. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sorensen were cast members, assisted by the following musical numbers: vocal solo, Marion Harrison; vocal vo-cal duet, Lois Betts and Janet Ross; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Andrus;. vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moody; chorus, composed com-posed of Dorothy Rowley, Genevieve Gen-evieve Penfield, Larene Myers, Veretta Gomm, Ina Dell Larsen, Lois Betts and Janet Ross. Models for the skit included Glenna Caldwell, Joyce Bolten, Je-Neil Je-Neil Hicks, Phyllis Glen, Shirley Lamb, Dot Ottosen, Marilyn Anderson, And-erson, Helen Larson, Dorene Gomm, Peggy Palmer, Kathy Taylor, Tay-lor, Arlene Labrum, Jean Snow and her six children. A special feature of the program pro-gram was a dance number presented pre-sented by second-year dance students stu-dents of Mrs. Virgie Murphy, Union High dance instructor. General chairmen for the highly successful event were Dr. and Mrs. Dennis, stake M Men and Gleaner leaders, assisted by Mrs. John Chasel. Following the banquet the group attended the dance at Victory Park. |
