Show 2 Arcadia Scouts Get Top Awards August 3 Robert Tanner, Exlorer of the Arcadia Post 2259, was awarded his Life Scout Badge, and Jerry Shileds, Bridgeland Exlporer, was awarded' his Star badge. These were the two highest awards presented at the August 5 pu-chesne pu-chesne District Court of Honor. Presided over by Cliff Mickel-son, Mickel-son, district advancement chairman, chair-man, some 77 persons saw v boys of Duchesne, Hanna, Utahn, Arcadia Arca-dia and Bridgeland receive a total of 33 awards. Earl Anderton of Utahn Troop 760 received his First Class badge and Ned Anderton, also of Utahn, received his woodcarving merit , badge. Citizenship in the nation and firemanship merit badges went to Leon Moon of Duchesne Post 2268. From Hanna, Richard Moon received re-ceived soil & water conservation merit badge, while Larry Wilcken and Donald Hackett was awarded citizenship in the home merit badge. Three From Birdgeland Bridgeland presented three boys for awards.. Besides his star award, Jerry Shields received public speaking and citizenship in the home merit badges; Lane Van Tassell public speaking and citi zenship in the home; and Douglas Murphy, his in public speaking, machinery and scholarship. Ardon Evans, socutmaster of Arcadia Troop 259, earned home I repairs, , pioneering and nautre merit badges Baird Evans earned nature, pioneering and first aid. Leon Ross received first aid, camping and pioneering badges. Also of Arcadia Troop 259, Ronald Capson received his nature and home repairs merit badges. Evan Lusty was awarded three merit badges nature, first aid and pioneering. From Arcadia Post 2259, Fred Evans received his Explorer apprentice ap-prentice award, nature, swimming and citizenship in the home merit badges. Besides his life guard award, Robert Tanner received his nature merit badge. Next Court of Honor will be held Sept- 2 at the Utahn LDS Chapel. |
