Show National Forest Timber For Sale Sealed bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor, Ashley National Na-tional Forest, at his office in Vernal, Utah prior to 2:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time, Septem-tber Septem-tber 24, 1956, for all live and merchantable dead timber marked or designated' for cutting located on an area of approximately 80 acres in the Pole Creek Drainage, Section 6 and 7, T. 3 N, R, 1 W., Uinta Special Meridian, Ashley National Forest, estimated to contain con-tain live and merchantable dead dead sawtimber as follows: 535 M feet b.m. of lodgepole pine; 120 M feet b.m of Engelmann spruce, more or less. There is within the sale area, an estimated 20 M linear feet of lodgepole pine mine props, more or less. The minimum acceptable bid' for live and merchantable dead lodgepole lodge-pole pine and Englemann spruce sawtimber is $4.70 per M feet b.m This includes, per M feet, b.m, the appraised rate of $3.25 for stumpage plus required deposits de-posits of $.75 for sale area betterment better-ment and $.75 for slash disposal. The minimum acceptable bid for lodgepole pine mine props is $7.10 per M linear feet.. This includes per M linear feet, the appraised rate of $4.20 for stumpage plus required re-quired deposits of $1.50 for sale area betterment and $1.40 for slash disposal. A certified check, money order, cashiers check, or bank draft, payable to the Forest Service, USDA, in the amount of $200.00 must accompany each sealed bid to be applied on the purchase price, refunded, or retained in part as liquidated damages according accord-ing to the conditions of the sale. Minimum advance payments, minimum advance balances, and maximum advance balances which the purchaser may be required to have at any time will be computed when the award is made, and based bas-ed upon the estimated value of the daily cut. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.' Before bids are submitted, full information concerning con-cerning the timber, the condition of sale and submission of bids may be obtained from the Forest Supervisor, Vernal, Utah, or the District Forest Ranger, Roosevelt, Utah.
