Show Cub Scouts From Roosevelt Area Go To Maple Del! Sixty-two of the 657 Cub scouts and leaders of the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America, to participate in the annual an-nual cub scout Field Day at Camp Maple Dell near Payson, Utah, on Saturday, Aug. 18 were from the Uintah Basin reports Rulon Dean Skinner, Field Scout Executive-Coming Executive-Coming from nearly every part of the Utah National Parks Council, Coun-cil, the Cubs participated in a nature talk, boat ride, cub scout hike, games of horseshoes and a game of voleygall. At 6:30 p.m. a campfire program climaxed the afternoons activities. Held each year at. the Council Camp so cubs and leaders can met other of the Council, the Ballard, Bal-lard, Roosevelt ward and Myton Cub packs were very well represented. rep-resented. District Chairman, James E. Bacon, headed the delegation. Cub scouts from Ballard Pack 3252 making the trip were: Jess Getes Hullinger, Terry Ercanbrack, Manford Nielson, Lloyd Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, Philip Johnson, Dennis Jenkins, Jen-kins, Allen Bingham, Richard La-ose, La-ose, Danny Daniels, Max Cook, Lloyd Hollett, Donald Squire, Rex Winn, .Johnny Gardner, Wade Par-rish, Par-rish, Freddy Asay, Jerry Gines, an Ralh Ercanbrack.. Ballard cubs were accompaied by Den Chiefs Glen Page and Allen Collins and the following adults: Wesley Ercanbrack, Ethel Ercanbrack, Wlma Haslem, Tel-intha Tel-intha Rasmussen, Lois Cook, Earl Gardner, Jack Cook, Myrtle Winn, Beatrice Lundberg, Allis Squire and Barta Jenkins. James E. Bacon Verda Campbell, Urania Redmond and Mr. and Mrs Clarence Jones were in charge of the Roosevelt Ward Pack 3250. Cub Scouts from the Roosevelt Ward Pack making the excursion to Maple Dell were Dan Redmond, Craig Campbell, Jay Marchant, Roy Broderick, Douglas Angus, Wayne Allred, Clifton Carlas, Barry Mitchell, Mark Jenson, Tommy Anderson, Bobby Jones, Gary Swensen and Terry Scholes. Heading the Myton Cub Scouts were A. N. Johnson, Howard Roberts, Ro-berts, Afton Johnson, Esther Sweat and Anna Murray. Cubs making the day-long trip were Lonnie Sweat, David Gillen, Gregory Greg-ory Nielsen, Stewart Dennis, Mark Roberts, Kennie Harrison, and Reed Johnson. |
