Robbins exchanged vows in a home ceremony performed Saturday evening. The new bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie J. Cook. Hal W. Robbins claimed Miss Carol Lynn Cook for his bride in rites solemnized Saturday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie J. Cook, Roosevelt. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.. Tom Robbins, also of this vicinity. Vows were pledged at 7:00 p.m. before the fireplace banked solidly solid-ly with gladioli .and pink flora-bunda flora-bunda roses, with Bishop Merlin Sullivan of the Fourth LDS ward performing the double-ring ceremony. cere-mony. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Bennie Schmiett. Preceding the marriage a buffet buf-fet supper was given for the bridal, group and out-of-town guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Edwards.. Approximately seventy guests were , present. For the reception at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Stake House, which followed the ceremony, the bride greeted guests in a self-designed wedding gown, made by her aunt, Mrs. Elmo Nelson. The nylon lace and net rown featured a stand-up collar and three-quarter length sleeves. The bouffant lace skirt was enhanced with a back panel of three tiers of net. Her fingertip illusion veil was caught to crown of seed pearls and she carried a bridal bouquet of cinnamon carnations car-nations and red roses. Attending the bride as maid' of honor was Alyce Patry who wore a street .length dress of pink satin-embossed satin-embossed taffeta. Miss Helen Robbins, Rob-bins, sister of the groom, and Miss Kaye Labrum, bridesmaids, wore similarly styled blue frocks. Atired in yellow, Miss Julianne Cook, sister of' the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Their nosegays were of roses in delicate shades of pink- Little Pamela Nelson and Billie Gae Edward's, were the flower girls and wore yellow frocks styled like those worn by1 the attendants. at-tendants. They had yellow marigold mari-gold nosegays. Mother of the bride chose a light blue after-five faille gown, with black embroidered trim, while the groom's mother wore a black and white lace dress. Both had corsages cor-sages of red and white carnations. Best, man duties were performed by Phillip Todd. Mrs. Clem Labrum and Mrs. Steve Ballon were in charge of the serving, assisted, by Beverly and Jackie Neilson and Barbara Nelson. Nel-son. A beautiful three-tier pink and white wedding cake centered the table. It was decorated with lovebirds, love-birds, roses and wedding bells, and topped with a minature bride and groom. Attending the gift tables were Mrs. Elmo Nelson and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge. Guest book signing and the program were in charge of Mrs. Marvell Neilson. Flowers for the wedding and reception were arragned by Mrs. Ray S. Jordan. Program numbers were as follows: vocal duet, Lynne Wilkins and Ann Murphy, accompanied by' Darlene Huxford; vocal solo, Ned Gines, accompanied by Pat Gines; piano solo and background music, Geraldine Denver, Laura Ann Lea-vitt Lea-vitt and Linda Schmiett; vocal solo, Mrs. Gordon Eldredge, accompanied ac-companied by Pat Gines; violin and piano selections, Mrs. Ray Summers and Mrs. Jay S. Fitzgerald. Fitz-gerald. The newlyweds left for a honeymoon honey-moon trip to Yellowstone Park and Elko, Nevada. At Elko a wedding dinner party is being planned in their honor. For traveling the new Mrs. Robbins Rob-bins selected a light turquoise print sheath dress with matching turquoise duster. The justweds will make a home in Roosevelt until. January, when they will both attend the University Univer-sity of Utah. |
