Show Cub Scout News The Cub Scouts, Pack 3253, joined other cub scout packs of all parts of Utah on an excursion to Maple Dell Saturday. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Johnson, Mrs. James Sweat, Mrs- Wilmer Murray and Howard Roberts. Members of Dens 1, 2, 3 and 4, who attended were Mark Roberts, Reed Johnson, John-son, Kenny Harrison, Lonnie Sweat, David GiUen, Stewart Dennis Den-nis and Gregory Nileson. They particapated in boating, nature study volleyball, horseshoe pitching, pitch-ing, hinking, a picnic lunch and enjyoed an excellent program. Among those from Myton attending attend-ing the two stake Relief Society convention at Vernal, Friday were Mrs. Ruth AUen, Mrs. Thelma Linck, Mrs. Anna Murray and Mrs. Sarah Brokaw. Scout Trip The " Myton Boy Scouts, Troop 253, left Wednesday on a ten day outing to Swift Creek. The boys were accompanied by Scout Master, Mast-er, Wilmer Murray, assistant scout master, Jerry Murray and also Larry Maxfield of Altonah. The scouts went on horse back and had pack horses to take their camping equipment. Jesse D Clark B M 3c has been' home on leave from the Navy to visit his parents Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark. When in port he is stationed at New Port Rhode Island but has been on duty in Northern Europe during the past six months aboard the tanker USS Caloosahachee. The young navy man left Tuesday and will visit his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and- Mrs. Robert Laumand at Webster Groves Missouri as he returns to Rhode Island. Jesse has served in the Navy since 1948. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Lydia Peatross Tuesday were: Mrs. Carie Duke and son Sidney of Salt Lake who were enroute to Ft. Collins Colo, where they will reside for several months. They were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry-Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ross are rejoyicing over the arrival of a baby daughter bom Tuesday, August 14 at the Roosevelt Hospital. Hos-pital. One brother and two sisters eagerly await their mothers return, re-turn, bringing the new baby to their home. Mr. and Mrs. C. A., Anderson and sons arrived Monday from Golden Colorado to visit Mrs. Anderson's mother, Mrs. Emery Nielson. They left Friday to return re-turn to Colorado. |
