Show Plans For Another Scout Troop Set In Motion According to Don Nielson, recently re-cently appointed chairman of the Kiwanis Boy Scout troop committee, a meeting is being scheduled on April 20 at the American Legion home to talk scouting with parents of boys i who are not at the present af-' af-' filiated with any other organized organ-ized troop in the Roosevelt area. When the Kiwanis club conceived con-ceived the scouting project, they made it very clear to the district dis-trict and council scout executives execu-tives that it was their desire to enlist more boys in the scouting movement and not to infringe upon existing Boy Scout troops. The blessings of the National Parks council executives have been pronounced upon the heads of the service club and hopes are I that before the summer season i begins to dawn, more boys will I be receiving the benefits of ! scouting than at present. The April 20 meeting will be for parents only, and at the present time J. D. Walker, Kiwanis Ki-wanis president, is fashioning a (letter to be sent to parents of boys who are not scouts, inviting invit-ing them to. the meeting. The jam Give Ha |
