Show IjllftCH Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Edith Preece To Work At Presideo Mr. and Mrs. Win. R. Preece, Jr., and children, and Miss Edith Ed-ith Neel Preece left Monday for Salt Lake City. Miss Preece will continue on to San Francisco, Fran-cisco, where she will be employed em-ployed at the Presideo as a civilian ci-vilian in the War department. Mr. Preece returned home Tuesday, Tues-day, while his wife and chil-dten chil-dten remained for a longer visit vis-it and to attend the approaching L.D.S. conference. Dinner guests at the Wm. R. Preece Sr. home Saturday evening eve-ning were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gin-g'ill Gin-g'ill and Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Preece, Jr., and family. The dinner din-ner was complimentary to their daughter, Miss Edith Nell Preece, who has been home on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris entertained at dinner at their home Sunday evening. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Preece, Sr.. Miss Edith Nell Preece and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Giles and baby. Visitors at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Vernon Edwards Sunday Sun-day were Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Murphy and children, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Gilbert and children, and Mrs. Rose Gilbert, of Arcadia. Mr. and Mrs. Max Horrocks, of Salt Lake City, were weekend week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles'Edwards. Mrs. Ella Roberts, Mrs. Edwards mother was also a visitor. C. Wayne Jenkins, who has been stationed in Korea, has been transferred to Guam and is scheduled to make a field trip through the Caroline Islands, according ac-cording to a letter received by his mother, Mrs. Vernon Edwards. Ed-wards. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck and daughter, Mrs. Rex Lamb, went to Salt Lake City last week, where Mr. Linck received medical attention. Mrs. Lamb returned re-turned Saturday, reporting her father was hospitalized and would remain- there for some time. During her parents absence, ab-sence, Margo Linck, is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Funk, a guest of Joan Funk. Mrs. Ashel Bingham, of Salt Lake City, is a visitor at the home of her daughter, Mrs. La-Vor La-Vor Dennis. Among those from Myton who attended funeral services for Mrs. Neal Hanks, at Price Sunday, Sun-day, were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis, Mrs. George Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton. Hamil-ton. Announcement has been received re-ceived of the arrival of a baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Leon Peterson. Mrs. Peterson was formerly Miss Joyce Stone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Stone, former Myton residents. A Sunday picnic was enjoyed on Green river by Carol Jenkins, Jen-kins, Evelyn Shaw, Morris Jenkins and Bernard Hadden. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Haskell came from Hill Field Saturday to spend a few days with Mrs. Haskell's father, J. W. Jenson, and also to visit other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones and family, of Richfield, were Myton visitors Sunday. Mrs. W. E. Burton returned Saturday from a 2-week visit in Midvale. She was accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz and children, who spent the weekend week-end here. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Harris have received announcement of the arrival of an infant son to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rattimer in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Rattimer, Ratti-mer, the former Shirley Wells, is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Harris. Har-ris. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Krissman and children went to Salt Lake City, Sunday to visit Mr. Kriss-man's Kriss-man's mother, Mrs. John Krissman, Kriss-man, of Helper, who recently underwent an operation at a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs. N. L. Peterson, who suffered suf-fered a heart attack last week is now steadily improving. Howard Funk, who is attending attend-ing W a s a t c h Academy, Mt. Pleasant, spent the long weekend week-end with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk. Mrs. Funk and daughters,.Francis and Joan, returned with nim to Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, Monday, and enjoyed a few hours visiting there before returning re-turning Monday evening. |
