I n, ring' the afternoon meeting, were given by all presi-; jgcllbs in the district, with a banquet and program featuring the evening session, which was attended by 105 women. Mrs. Morrison reported to the group about her trip to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, in the interest of the Echo Dam project for this area, for which she and all other club officers have really been i promoting and circulating material ma-terial giving the true facts about the dam. about which so many i eastern clubs have had erroneous errone-ous information. She stated that possibilities of getting the pro-Iject pro-Iject approved are now very good, but that she will not let down a minute until the bill is passed. Mrs. Christensen extended an invitation to all women present to attend the Springville Art tea scheduled for April 28. Club members were also urged to attend the state convention con-vention being held in Salt Lake City April 16 and 17. Club women attending the district dis-trict conclave from the Junior Culture club were: Mrs. Bert Burgess, Mrs. Louis Taylor, Mrs. Paul Stringham, Mrs. Ned Bel-Ion, Bel-Ion, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs. Elmer Ei-dredge, Ei-dredge, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Lynn Hatch, Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Anthon Christensen, Christen-sen, Mrs. Arus Bird, Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mrs. Frank Yack and Mrs. Cliff Memmott. Socialette club was represented represent-ed by Mrs. Ben Turner. Mrs. Dick Bastian and Mrs. Jack Carter. Attending from the Fort Duchesne Du-chesne Women's club were Mrs. Lon A. Logan, Mrs. Forest R. Stone. Mrs. Martin Curtis, Mrs. Rex Curry, Miss Florence Knapp, Mrs. E. M. Axtell. Mrs. J. P Alsberg and Mrs. Stanley Nebeker. |
