Show Brown Brothers Buy Roosevelt Implement Stock Announcement was made this week by Paul Nelson, for ten years owner-operator of the Roosevelt Implement Co., that effective April 1, he had sold his business to Victor, "Vic," and Ray Brown, brothers and life-long residents of the Uintah Basin. According to Vic Brown, who will become the resident manager, man-ager, the name of the business will be changed to BROWN'S. However, they will continue to handle the same products as their predecessor namely, International In-ternational Harvester farm and refrigeration equipment; Hudson Hud-son automobiles, and a general line of hardware, and parts for the equipment sold. They will also continue their service and repair department under the same qualified management. The Brown brothers have lived most of their lives in and around Roosevelt, and own and operate ranches between Neola and Montwel. For the past several sev-eral years Vic has been associated associat-ed with the Producting and Marketing Mar-keting Administration as field man, having' nine counties under his observation. Prior to that he was with the Triple A for the government. He has resigned and will devote full time to the management of the new business. busi-ness. His brother, Ray, newly elected elect-ed county commissioner, has been prominently identified with various civic movements, especially es-pecially the R.E.A., and farm and livestock organizations. He is currently serving as president of the newly formed Feed Mill Co-op. He will continue to operate op-erate the two ranches owned by his brother and himself. The Roosevelt Implement Co. was established by Mr. Nelson ten years ago, who has been an active civic and church worker, as well as a rancher. For the present he will remain with Brown's in an advisory capacity, but will devote most of his time in the future to ranching. His ranch is located near Neola. He is currently serving as a member of the High Council cf the Roosevelt LDS stake, and is prominent in scouting. The sale did not include the building, build-ing, which is owned by Mr. Nelson. |
