Show Manti Temple Is Scene Of Recent Marriage The stately setting of the Manti LDS temple Friday, Mar. 23, united in marriage Miss Verda Mae Schultz and Eldon Mortensen. President L. R. Anderson An-derson officiated at the double-ring double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Delosta Schultz, of Eph-riam, Eph-riam, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Morten-sen, Morten-sen, also of Ephriam. For her wedding, the attractive attrac-tive brunetta bride chose a wedding wed-ding gown of white slipper satin sa-tin with high lace yoke, accented accent-ed with seed pearls, and long, pointed sleeves. The skirt was styled with draped hip line which met in back and fell into a train. Her veil of bride's illusion il-lusion fell from a crown of white satin and seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of Jon-nahill Jon-nahill roses, centered with an orchid. Immediately following the ceremony the members of the immediate families and the bridal bri-dal party were honored at a dinner at the home of the groom's parents. That evening the new Mr. and Mrs. Mortensen greeted friends at a reception and dance at the North ward chapel in Ephraim. Assisting the newlyweds in greeting their guests were their parents; Mrs. Richard Bessey, matron of honor; Arthella and MyLynn Schultz, bridesmaids, Linda Lou Larsen, flower girl. Ushers were Carl Johnstun, Leo and Leland Mortensen, Doyl Larsen and Bill Robinson. Dick Owen performed duties as best man. An attractive pink and white color scheme prevailed in the decorations, and was further developed on the serving table, which was adorned with a lace cloth centered with a beautiful 3-tier wedding cake topped with a miniature, bride and groom, and encircled with a chain of small pink roses. Lighted white tapers in crystal holders provided provid-ed soft illumination for the setting. set-ting. Guests were served at small individual tables centered with sweet peas. Pouring during the evening were Aleth and Athlen Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Mortensen are now making their home in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, following a honeymoon trip to Boulder Dam, Las Vegas, Nev., Zion and Bryce National parks. |
