Show 4-H Members Attend Meet Several 4-H Club members in Davis County have attended the National Club Congress held in Chicago, Oct. 7-13. Attending the congress, with all expenses paid were Wendy Ward for achievement; achieve-ment; James Higley, plant science; Marc Putnam in forestry and Jenny Jensen in health. She has worked in the 4-H department at both the Davis County and Utah State Eair. The 4-H Achievement Program will be held Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Earmington Junior High School, 150 S. 200 W., Earmington. THIS Achievement Night closes the 4-H for 1984. Awards will be given to record book winners. This year's slogan is "Partners for an Energy Efficient Tomorrow." Energy Awareness Week has been established to stimulate public pub-lic awareness and discussion around the need for sustained conservation con-servation and the development of energy resources and technologies. technolo-gies. THIS WOULD be an excellent opportunity for 4-H members to promote energy and conservation. This could be done through news releases, demonstrations in shopping shop-ping malls or window displays. Connie Hill, daughter of James and Joyce Hill of West Bountiful is ; saluted this month. She is 15 years old and has been a 4-H member for six years. She has taken projects in foods, clothing, self determined, junior leadership, home improvement, improve-ment, food conservation and in safety, crochet, macrame, dairy foods, bread and egg cookery. CONNIE HAS participated in the 4-H Meal Preparation Contests, Demonstration Contests, State 4-H 4-H Contests and is a member of the 4-H Teen Council. She has -also attended State 4-H Youth Conference Confer-ence and has served as a camp counselor at 4-H Camp. She is a sophomore at Viewrnont High School, is an honor student and a member of the Pep Club. Connie is congratulated in her ' many accomplishments and has ! been active in many more projects. DONNA CRAVEN of Bountiful 1 is saluted this month as a 4-H lead- I er for eight years. Has led projects in clothing, foods, outdoor cooking, cook-ing, home management and food preservation.
