The family of James Reid invite j all his friends and relatives to j attend an open house in honor of ; his 90th birthday on Oct. 21 from . ! 3-7 p.m. at his home, 210 W. 1000 I N., CenterviHe. j' HE WAS born Oct. 17, 1894 in i Richfield, Colorado, i He served in the Army in World ; War 1 in France and after his dis-j dis-j jcharge married Julia Estelle Mor-I Mor-I 'ton. She passed away in' 1979. HE HAS always had a great love L of the land and farmed in Colorado until he moved the family to Utah in 1942 and settled in CenterviHe in 1944. In 1951 he was called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in En-) En-) gland. i HE HAS eight living children, ( Wayne, Tremonton; Willadene ' Fabry, CenterviHe; Morris, Cen- terfield; Bruce, Midvale; Ardell 1 VanderMeyden, Kearns; Lucille Ellis, Bountiful; Wanda Parker,; ; Glendale, Calif.; Lola Lambert', Kamas. He has 50 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren. He is loved and honored by his posterity. He still has the great love for the land as is evidenced by the big garden gar-den he plants and cares for each summer and shares with neighbors and children. His greatest joy comes com-es from helping others and he is always willing and ready to help. HE IS a High Priest in the CenterviHe Cen-terviHe 16th Ward. |
