Show Victim Witness Program ; Beginning In The County I FARMINGTON - A recent proclamation fron N.D. 'Tete" !j, Hayward, Sheriff of Salt Lake County and President of the Utah ' Sheriffs Association, indicates the creation of a Victim Witness Tl Program Committee, including representation from Davis ,.,, County. :ii 01. IF ANSWER to a request of the National Sheriffs Association, each state sheriffs association has been asked to designate sever- f al individuals who will participate in various studies, research, and training to become experts in the field of Victim Witness rights, counselling and restitution programs available and as a I result 'to make recommendations as to additional protection to be made available to these victims. j This committee will also attend a training program to be held sometime early in 1985 a"nd will become training officers to all la ; enforcement organizations in the state of Utah in the field of . Victim Witness Programs. ; THOSE NAMED by the State Sheriffs Association are Sheriff ; Ken Campbell, Washington County; Sheriff Clair Poulsen, Duchesne County; Deputy Gayle Smith, Davis County Sheriffs Office; Deputy Dan Carter, Seviere County Sheriffs Office; I Deputy Lynn Yeates, Box Elder County Sheriffs Office and j Cathy Holt, Garfield County Sheriffs Office. The Committee will be chaired by Sheriff Campbell and co-chaired by Deputy Smith and Cathy Holt. ! it. |
