Show Wheels BIBS f , Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)-crib death, or cot death, as it is often calledis the unexpected and often unexplained death of an infant, usually under six months of age. The infant is put to bed in apparently good health or w ith a mild upper respiratory infection; there is no suspicion of anything abnormal. The infant is of an age (2-6 months) to sleep through the niCht,and,asaresult,is not discovered disco-vered until the next morning. There appears to be no warning, no struggle, and no outcry of pain. ACCORDING TO the National Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Foundation, between 6,000 and 10 000 American babies die eacn year as a result of the condition.
