Half of the men selected j ifl for training will undergo the training II j during tho morning period, with the, ill I balance at work during tho after-HP after-HP 1 I noon. I Instructors Named. Instructor1; and tho wagoners who will attend the course were selected today, as follows: Mechanic Alex Carlson Carl-son of B battery will act as instructor o tho supply company, and tho class is composed of Vernon Atwood, Arthur Qrcutt and William J. Phillips. Mo-chanic Mo-chanic L. P. Murdock of B battery has been selected as Instructor to headquarters head-quarters company, and the class is composed of Albert C. Nordquist, James V. Olsen, Vivian R. Williams, Frank B. Brown, Melvin C. Morris, George P. Childs and Grant P. Idol ton. Tho mechanics who have been selected as instructors hap lupt completed com-pleted a motor course of Instruction at Peoria, ill., and win use iue ayaieu , taught them there. The classes are composed of wagoners, who will later run and repair tho huge motor tractors which will be used for hauling the big guns in Europe. The course will stretch over a period of several weeks and the men will be taught valuable lessons in motor work. I Sergeant Lysle Fleming of F bat- tery today received his permanent as- ganlzation. He succeeded Karl B Boshard, who is now attending the officers' training school, and although I he assumed the position several weeks I ago, he was not officially assigned J until today. I Medicos to Dance, j Medical officers of the division will make merry tonight at a dinner and dance arranged for them at the U. S. Grant hotel. Hundreds of medical officers of-ficers who are now on duty at the cantonment can-tonment wilt attend, among them many Utah medicos. Those of the Utah organizations who will bo pres-1 ent are Major Wlllard Christopherson, J Lieutenant Robert T. Jcllison and Lieutenant Guy Vanscoyoc of the Utah sanitary corps, and Major John F. Sharp, Captain J. J. Roberts, Lieutenant Lieuten-ant Frederick I. Jansen, Lieutenant J. F. Tyree, Lieutenant J. D. Bowman, 1 Lieutenant R. Chamberlain, of the Utah hospital corps. |
