Show KILLING OF COYOTES WILL BE PROFITABLE. Pocatello, Idaho, Jan. IS. Sheepmen Sheep-men of the Portneuf division of the Cache national forest met in this city yesterday to discuss matters pertain- ( ing to the sheep business In this district. dis-trict. There were owners here repre- senting 22,500 sheep which are grazed In the district. It was decided to of- i fer an additional bounty of $1.25 for each coyote destroyed, this in addi tion to the state bounty of $2.50. The fact that the pelt of this predatory an!- mal Is worth from $3 to $6 now, with ' tho additional bounty, will put coyota hunting on a very profitable basis. The following were elected for the ensuing year: W. H. Philbrick, presi- ' dent; David Gimmel, vice president; K. D. Houtz, secretary and treasurer. The sheepmen are unanimous in the belief that the coming year will be one of tho most prosperous that the sheep ; Industry has enjoyed for years. |
