Show Chicago Grain Chicago, Jan. 19 Wheat prices weakened today, influenced by assertions asser-tions that the tightening of the blockade block-ade of neutral ports would further complicate the difficulties of exporters export-ers and tend to restrict buying. A fresh advance to a new high record in ocean freight rates from the United Unit-ed States to Great Britain was an additional ad-ditional discourngement to the bulls. Profit taking by holders became decided de-cided lj- free. Opening prices, which ranged from 3-Sc off to 3-8c up, with May at Sl.31 1-4 to 1.32 and July at $1.24 1-2 to 1.24 3-4, wero followed by a sharp decline all around. Corn gave way with wheat Besides Be-sides enlarged receipts gave an advantage ad-vantage to the bears. After opening l-Sl-4c off to a shade up, tho market mar-ket underwent a general sag. Oats reflected the declines in other cereals. At first, however, prices showed a disposition to climb owing to recent big sales to the seaboard. Provisions eased off with grain. Firmness In the hog market had only a temporary effect Packers were said to be sellers. Commission houses bought, but the support was inadequate. The wheat close was weak 11-S 1 3-Sc net lower, with May at ?1.30 3-4 and July at $1.23 6-8. The corn close was steady but 3-8 l-2c to l-2c net lower. Chicago, Jan. 19.
