Show CHIEF ENGINEER GETS HIGH SALARY New York. N. Y., Jan. 29. Alfred Craven's salary as chief engineer of the public service commission has just been increased from 15,000 to 20,000, which makes him the highest high-est paid official in tho service of the city or the state. He will now get twice as much as the governor, and 5000 a year more than the mayor or corporation coun-sel. coun-sel.
