Show WATCHMAN SHOT THROUGH HEAD Hundreds of City-Bound Commuters Com-muters Startled at Dead Body Propped Against Bank. Chicago, Jan. 29 Hundreds of city-bound commuters today, gazing through misty car windows into the drizzle, were startled at the figure of a man propped up against the muddy embankment of the tracks. When the police came they found that he had been shot three times in the back of the head. He was identified as Gllson Gilhooley, a watchman omployed to protect railroad rail-road property against the incursions of thieves who infest the Western Indiana railroad yards at Fifty-fourth street, where the body was fouud. After the crime, the murderers posed the body In the posture in which it was observed, the police believe, and then tossed away the pistol with which the shooting was done. |
