Show FEDERAL TROOPS 1RECUT OFF Chihuahua, Mex., Jan. 29. General Panfilos Natcra, of the rebel army, reported from the state of Zacatccas today that he had cut off federal reinforcements re-inforcements advancing to Torreon to the south. He said he probably would attack the city of Zacatccas with a view of establishing a rebel base south of Torreon. Meantime the rebel advance to Jimenez, Ji-menez, half way from Chihuahua to Torreon, has beon completed. At Jimenez, the rebels expect to bo joined join-ed later by general Villa, who will direct the attack on the Torreon federal fed-eral garrison. The rebel advance south of Jimenez will be slow because be-cause of the destruction of the railroad. rail-road. Chihuahua has now only a small rebel garrison, most of the soldiers sol-diers having gone south. |
