Show CHURCHES ARRANGE TO HEAR GULICK New York, N. Y., Jan. 29. The federal fed-eral council of tho Churches of Christ in America Is arranging for a nation-wide hearing for the Rev. Dr. Sydney L. Gullck, representing Christian Christ-ian missionaries in Japan, relative to American relationships with the east as considered from the Christian point of view, with special reference from the differences arising from the California alien land legislation. Arrangements Ar-rangements are being made whereby Dr. Gullck will visit leading cltle3 in this country, appearing before chambers cham-bers of commerce, merchants' associations, asso-ciations, city clubs, and universities. He has definite plans to propose regarding re-garding the entire Immigration question, ques-tion, by which he hopes to meet both the just demands of California and the United States, as well as what he considers the equally just demands de-mands of Japan Dr. Gullck has been a missionary in Japan for twen-tv-six years; has served on the faculty fac-ulty of Boshipa university, and has been a lecturer at the Imperial university uni-versity at Kyoto. The federal council, coun-cil, In compliance with a memorial from missionaries in Japau, has appointed ap-pointed a commission to consider the question. oo |
