Gail Herbert as the Princess in the Japanese story entitled "Urashima Taro" -part of "The Absurd Musical Revue for Children," a production of a Contemporary Theatre, Seattle, which will perform in Cedar City Saturday, April 12. Music revue for children scheduled here Saturday luii-pcrformance tour of schools in Washington for the Washington State Cultural Enrichment Program and is now touring the other ten western states. The performances here are assisted by a grant provided jointly by the Utah State Division of Fine Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. An additional award is made under the Touring Program of the Western States Arts Foundation through its supporting grant from the National Endowment for the Art . Admission for the evening performance of the "Revue" will be 50 cents for children and $1.00 for adults, with a $3.00 maximum per family. Tickets for the afternoon af-ternoon matinee performance will be half price or 25 cents, 50 cents and $1.50. Tickets will be on sale at the Recital Hall beginning 20 minutes before curtain time. As a special treat for Children in Iron County, the Cedar City-Music City-Music Arts Committee is sponsoring "The Absurd Musical Revue for Children," a production of A Contemporary Theatre of Seattle, Washington. Co-sponsores for this program for children of all ages are the Cedar City Public Library and the South, North and East Elementary School PTA's. The show will play for two performances per-formances on Saturday. April 12 at 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the SUSC Music Recital Hall. The production is built around stories, poems, jokes and songs from both traditional and modern children's literature, as well as newly-created works. Subtitled "One Hundred and One Ways to Tell a Story," the "Revue" includes a Japanese folk tale, a slow-motion Keystone Kops burglary scene and a mini-opera mini-opera based on "Little Red Riding Hood."
