Show ENTERPRISE VIEWS Great Fourth of July Celebration The arrival of two new babies this past week were made to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Munk and Mr. and Mrs. Kendell Gardner. Jean and Mike Munk received a baby girl and Annette and Kendell Gardner were blessed with a baby boy. "Also on the same block, Preston and Vilate Robinson had their children Gary and Sharon and family here visiting from Las Vegas. Bert and Grace Twitchell have been doing alot of traveling and vacationing this past week or so, and they will be doing more this weekend. They just returned from a weekend vacation with their daughter and son-in-law, Rae and Larry Overson, and grand children, Susie Palmer and Scott and Sally Jones Truman, at Lake Powell. They toured all around in the parks and took in alot of the beautiful scenery and the rest and relaxation was enjoyed. Then this weekend Grace and Bert will be traveling to Salt Lake City where they will visit with their grandson, Walter LaMar Slack, from Montana. Walter will be entering the mission home in S.L.C. to prepare to leave for a misson in Rome. Bert and Grace wanted the chance to visit with him before departing for the field and were unable to make it up to Montana. Minetta Hunt's immediate family had a reunion at Kershaw, a picnic and vacation spot in Caliente, Nevada, on July 2. All of her children with the exception of her oldest daughter Hortence were there. The Hunt family stayed for the 4th of July weekend. Speaking of the 4th, there were so many visitors and activities going on I'm sure nobody was left out of some type of fun during tlx1 holiday weekend. Among some of the visitor were: LaNetta Hunt and children from Texas, Gary and Joan Terry Staheli, and their children, Bonnie Terry Durrant and her husband Harold and children of St. George, the Huntsman sisters, Laura and Lyla, Reed and Allie Harrisons daughter Janet and her husband and little boy, Blyth and Dean Terry's son Ron and his family, Mr. DeVor Pickering, Coach Broks and his wife were visiting with his daughter and son-in-law the Shurtliff's.Also, Uncle Ivor Cloves daughter Mary brought him home to Enterprise En-terprise for the 4th of July and his son Dennis will meet him here and take him back to his home to stay with him for a while. Camilla Terry Brown from Sigurd, Utah and her brother Clark Terry were visiting parents Marion and I.eona Terry. Doyle Jones oldest boy, Larry, and his wife were here for the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Twitchell were happy to have their daughter Marilyn and her husband and girls with them. Now, for you who didn't have visitor and just couldn't come to pull yourselves out of bed to make it to the Annual 4th of July program here's a quick run down of what you missed. This years Miss Goddess of Liberty was Phylis Terry, daughter of Dean and Blythe Terry, and lier attendents were Miss Javote Pickering, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Pickering and Miss Fawn Pickering, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Pickering. The royalty was announced and then Miss Terry said a few words on Americanism. Kimberly Staheli and Tracy Shurtliff were first on the program after the formal announcements. They played a piano duet "Stars and Stripes Forever." Then, under the direction of Nell Twitchell, Larry Shurtliff, Neldon Jones, LeAnna Holt Gardner, Janet Staheli, and Morley Wilson did a one act play about a 4th of July celebration in 1905. It was awfully good and kept the audiance interested and laughing too. Linda Anderson was next on the program with her dancing classes. She first brought out her older dancing class, the girls ranging from ages of about 9 to 11, then on came the little ones ages , probably, 3 to 5 or 6. They did great, and as Mildred Peterson, Legion Auxilary President announced, Blanskies Beauties better watch out. |
